the right kind of wisdom

do place high value on the acquisition of wisdom? if so, you are not alone; most people would like to be wise, but not everyone is willing to do the work that is required to become wise. wisdom is not like a mushroom; it does not spring up overnight. it is, instead, like an oak tree that starts as a tiny acorn, grows into a sapling, and eventually reaches up the sky, tall and strong.

to become wise, you must seek God's guidance and live according to HIS Word. to become wise, you must seek instruction with consistency and purpose. to become wise, you must not only learn the lessons of the christian life, but you must also live by them. but oftentimes, that's easier said than done.

sometimes, amid the demands of daily life, you will lose perspective. life may seem out of balance, and the pressure of everyday living may seem overwhelming. what's needed is a fresh perspective, a restored sense of balance........and God's wisdom. if you call upon the Lord and seek to see the world through HIS eyes, HE will give you guidance, wisdom and perspective. when you make God's priorities your priorities, HE will lead you according to HIS plan and according to HIS commandments. when you study God's teachings, you are reminded that God's reality is the ultimate reality.

so, do you seek to live a life of righteousness and wisdom? if so, you must study the ultimate source of wisdom: the Word of God. you must seek out worthy mentors and listen carefully to their advise. you must associate, day in and day out, with godly men and women. then, as you accumulate wisdom, you must not keep it to yourself; you must, instead, share it with your friends and family members.

but be forewarned: if you sincerely seek to share your hard-earned wisdom with others, your actions must reflect the values that you hold dear. the best way to share our wisdom-perhaps the only way-is not by your words, but by your actions and example. good day all of you !!!

quote of the day:

"The fruit of wisdom is Christlikeness, peace, humility, and love. And, the root of it is faith in Christ as the manifested wisdom of God." by J.I.Packer
