if you're like most men, you seek the admiration of your neighbors, your coworkers, and, most importantly, your family members. but the eagerness to please others should never overshadow your eagerness to please God. if you seek to fulfill the purposes that God has in store for you, then you must seek to please HIM first and always.
Matthew 6:33 reminds us that when we allow God to reign in our hearts, HE will provide for us. each new day presents countless opportunities to put God in first place.....or not. when we honor HIM by living according to HIS commandments, we earn ourselves the abundance and peace that HE promises. but, when we concern ourselves more with pleasing others than with pleasing our Creator, we bring needless sufferings upon ourselves and our families. don't take this lightly, it is as serious as it sounds, even though most of you knows me as more of a joker, but this is serious !
would you like a time-tested formula for successful living? here is a formula that is proven and true in my humble opinion: seek God's approval in every aspect of your life. does this sound too simple? perhaps it is simple, but it is the only way to reap the marvelous riches that God has in store for you.
remember this: righteous living leads to joy. Bill Hybels said this: "Christianity says we were created by a righteous God to flourish and be exhilarated in a righteous environment. God has "wired" us in such a way that the more righteous we are, the more we'll actually enjoy life." so guys and gals, Holy living doesn't take the joy out of life, it puts it in. have a nice day all of you !!!
