Youth Alive was in town !

as you can see, Youth Alive was in KL and as usual, when a group of this kind (Planetshakers, Youth Alive, Hillsong, Hillsong United, etc etc) comes to Malaysia, i will try my best to not miss it. and so i brought a couple of young people there with me.

the concert started a bit slow due to last minute arrangements that was made. furthermore, it also rained heavily which caused heavy jams and eventually caused the concert to start late. but as the night went on, and the people began to pour into the hall, things were getting better. the worship part was good, and then came the preaching which was short, sharp and simple; preached with great flair and charisma, something that is to my liking.

what touched me most was when one of the youth from my church answered an altar call. this guy is known as one of the most slumber youth in our church, the last person you would expect to raise his hand, stand up and some more go on stage. and he did all that in one night !!! could you believe it, we really serve a mighty God man, a God that can turn things around when we least expect it.

at that very moment, i was very touched and also very proud of him (well done man, you know who you are !!!!) the amount of joy we feel as a leader over these type of young people (the slumber type) when they answer God's call is really indescribable. when the second altar call came, the rest of the young people i brought there (except for one, maybe he is too young to understand but it's ok, his time will come) all went out to the front, that really made my day man.

though a lot of people couldn't make it (like i said, last minute arranged concert), i was glad that the young ones that managed to come actually responded. i really think that if we keep this type of thing going, a new era of leadership and growth would be coming to our church and i believe that this is gonna be something great for the church and nation. all glory to God.
