Lightning Bolt

i am sure many of you have been watching the Olympics that is going on now in China. there have been many highs due to the fact that so many records have been broken. there was the awesome Phelps from US that became the greatest olympian of all time and also the awesome Usain Bolt who easily won the 100m final and became the fastest man on earth.

of course there was some lows especially for our nation (we were so close to the gold medal but yet so far) hopefully we can get our very first gold soon. if only they had squash in olympics, i am sure our very own nicol david would have gotten our first gold.

anyways, back to Usain Bolt, this guy was just awesome, i think he made many speechless with his dazzling performance in the 100m final. seldom have i ever seen a 100m final where one could be so far off in a world of his own. though he broke the world record, i personally thought that he could have clocked faster due to the fact that he was already in celebration mode in the final 5-10 meters. had he not done so, i am sure he could have shaved much more off the world record. whatever it is, he really made a great run and i am sure he can run even faster and better as the years go by, all the best to Usain Bolt in his running career.

Jamaica's Usain Bolt holds his gold medal a day after winning the men's 100m at the Beijing National Stadium. After a lacklustre performance at the opening of the Beijing track and field competition the USA is hoping it can use the event to try and close the gold medal gap on China, where the Olympics hosts have 35 compared to the USA's 19.

I can acknowledge that Nicol David is good squash player but she don't perform well in Tournaments that offer no cash prizes.. look at Commonwealth 2006 in Sydney.. Nicol David was the world number 1 but she lost to Shelly Kitchen which was World number 10 at that time.. she is motivated by the greens (no offense to people that support Nicol David, but that's my point of view)

Lee Chong Wei performance was awful to say the least.. but he tried his best in the first set but faded in the second to Lin Dan. a Sad moment for me but i expected the result to be the same anyways as Lin Dan is the In-Form player atm.

that was in 2006. nicol had only just reached the number one spot early that year.

is the Commonwealth Games your only example? how about checking back at her winnings at the Asian Games? the Asian squash Championships?
