one of the characteristics of successful people is that they are aware of their world. they use every opportunity to stay informed on current events and what is going on around them. business, political, social, religious, and sports news is available to them, and they take advantage of it. they know that an awareness of world events gives them an edge, whether it's in their personal decision-making or in their interaction with others.
to know what's going on in the world, it's pretty easy-you just got to read and listen. in just a few moments each day, you can become aware of what's happening in your world. for eg, take a few minutes to look over the newspaper headlines, you don't have to read every word of every line in the newspaper to know what's in it. scan the headlines, read the first few sentences of each paragraph. and trust me, by the time you do so, you mind will be filled with information
